Young photographers are invited for the My life - My home project,
a new two-part workshop led by award winning photographer, Michele Jedlicka.
The free workshop is an initiative of non-profit community group,
Regional Community Builders and is funded by the NSW Government.
Workshop Facilitator, Michele Jedlicka says the program is open to
youth aged 12 – 24 years and the first of two workshops will be a 2-hour
session on Saturday 15 February in Inverell.
As someone who’s worked as a professional photographer, writer and
film maker, Michele is passionate about the creative arts and sharing her
knowledge.
“For those coming along to the workshop on 15 February, the event will
help build their strength and skills as a photographer, and also how to use
images to tell a story”.
“Participants will use their smartphone or camera to document a
story from their life in five photos for a community exhibition”.
Michele’s lengthy list of achievements includes national and
international awards from Dublin Smartphone Film Festival, Chicago Indie Film
Awards, New York Lift-Off Film Festival and Head On Photo Festival.
The program is open to all experience levels, including those who
are new to photography and all abilities are welcome.
